With it becoming official today, NBC and Conan O’Brien have agreed to part ways. Tomorrow night, Friday, January 22, 2010 will be Conan’s last episode as host of “The Tonight Show”. NBC has stumbled and bumbled their way through this divorce but will let Conan out of his contract at the end of September 2010. So Conan has time to fill now and I as Macho Rhino President would like to offer him a tremendous opportunity. Here’s my letter to Conan outlining my proposal for him.
Dear Mr. O’Brien:
I’m sorry to hear of the end of “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien”. I’ve always enjoyed your comedy and think you were treated poorly by NBC in this situation. However with every ending, there comes a new beginning. I’d like to offer you a great opportunity here with Macho Rhino. Macho Rhino is less than a year old so we’re still growing and want you to be part of that growth!
I would like to offer you the opportunity to be a pioneer. This opportunity with Macho Rhino comes as a host, producer and writer.
I would like to offer you to host a new show created specifically for you. This new show will be called “Conan Tonight” and air on MachoRhino.com. Unlike NBC, I’m flexible with the time we will air your show, so you can choose when your show airs. You will have a great influence over the show and I expect it will showcase your outstanding comedic ability.
Also at Macho Rhino you can become a producer. You can produce “Conan Tonight” and additional shows for Macho Rhino. I’d like to introduce a half-hour weekly weekend show hosted by Andy Richter. You two have great chemistry and this will allow you both to collaborate on another successful project. Also, I plan to have you host and produce our model searches and shoots. This could be the best part of your opportunity with Macho Rhino. You will be able to select and interact the beautiful women we showcase.
I’d also like to feature your writing on the site as well. A monthly column featured here on MachoRhino.com that allows readers to stay in touch with your hilarious writing ability. Just like your days at the Harvard Lampoon, you can be in charge and have a vast creative license to entertain.
I assure you will be treated with dignity and respect at Macho Rhino. You will have the opportunity to flourish and be a Internet pioneer as you bring millions to watch your shows online. This is the future. You have an excellent opportunity now in front of you and hope you will take advantage of it.
