With Notre Dame opting earlier today to not participate in a 2009 bowl game, we are left seeking another team for the inaugural Macho Rhino Bowl. So as President of Macho Rhino, I would now like to officially invite the Michigan Wolverines to compete in the first ever Macho Rhino Bowl.
Why Michigan should accept this invitation:
-You’ve got a fan base starving for wins. They only got five this season so a sixth would be better for them and you lost your last game. This game gives you a chance to head into the offseason
-You’ve got freshman quarterbacks who could use these extra weeks of practice and more game experience.
-It is like the Rose Bowl in it’s a Big 10 vs. Pac-10 game.
-A lucrative, performance based payout. In these tough economic times, don’t pass up a chance at earning more income. The winner of this game will take home 30% of the revenue generated from ticket sales, merchandise and broadcasting. The loser will get 20%. With your tremendous fan bases, this could be one of the better non-BCS payouts this year.
-It’ll be nationally televised. With the loyal Michigan fans across the nation, a network will want to carry this game. Also, Sirius/XM would be a great radio broadcasting partner.
-Recruits will watch this game and want to hear about it from your coaches and players. Imagine being able to tell a recruit about the epic after-party following a win in the Macho Rhino Bowl. He would sign on the spot!
-You will make history as one of the first two teams to compete in this bowl game. This is an opportunity to add to your storied legacy as this bowl continues to grow in popularity, it will only add to the stature of your program on a national level. Macho Rhino is out to be the best. We don’t do things to be second or third. We want to be the standard others measure themselves by.
-Let’s face facts, since we’re not a NCAA sanctioned game you can participate. At 5-7, you’re not eligible for anything else.
-And most importantly, you can end the season a winner. You’re heading into the off-season with thoughts of a loss to rival Ohio State. You can replace that with memories of a bowl victory!
Here’s a tenative itinerary for Macho Rhino Bowl Week:

Hey MachoRhino,
Has Rich Rodriguez (U of Mich) been officially invited?
Kurt
Rich Rod is invited but it’s up to the Wolverines if they want to bring him.
