I decided yesterday, I want my own bowl game so I’ve created the Macho Rhino Bowl and am ready to invite and outline my proposal to two deserving college football teams today…with an ultimatum of course, accept by Noon on Sunday, December 6 or another invitation gets issued for the game. Hopefully they’ll get accepted and we’ll have a great inaugural Macho Rhino Bowl brought to you by MachoRhino.com and with any luck a multi-billion dollar company who will pay us handsomely to be associated with this outstanding new bowl game.
First let me give you details on the Macho Rhino Bowl. I’m proposing it be played December 31, 2009 at Faurot Field in Columbia, Missouri with a 4 PM ET kickoff. This is a great time to start the game so we can get a good tv audience and allow the game to end and flow seemlessly into the post-game festivities to help us bring in 2010.
As President of Macho Rhino, I would now like to officially invite two teams to compete in the first ever Macho Rhino Bowl, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and the UCLA Bruins. These two big-time college football programs will make a great start to the Macho Rhino Bowl. Both are deserving of a bowl and we hope they accept our invitation.
Why you both should accept this invitation:
-You earned a bowl game and should go. I know Notre Dame voted not to go to a bowl game earlier this week but that’s before the Macho Rhino Bowl was even invented.
-A lucrative, performance based payout. In these tough economic times, don’t pass up a chance at earning more income. The winner of this game will take home 30% of the revenue generated from ticket sales, merchandise and broadcasting. The loser will get 20%. With your tremendous fan bases, this could be one of the better non-BCS payouts this year.
-It’ll be nationally televised. I’m hoping since Notre Dame is involved, NBC will make us an offer for the broadcasting rights. Also, Sirius/XM would be a great radio broadcasting partner.
-Recruits will watch this game and want to hear about it from your coaches and players. Imagine being able to tell a recruit about the epic after-party following a win in the Macho Rhino Bowl. He would sign on the spot!
-You will make history as the first two teams to compete in this bowl game. This is an opportunity to add to your storied legacy as this bowl continues to grow in popularity, it will only add to the stature of your program on a national level. Macho Rhino is out to be the best. We don’t do things to be second or third. We want to be the standard others measure themselves by.
-And most importantly, you can end the season a winner. The victorious team leaves 7-6 and has a good feeling about the year.
Notre Dame should accept because:
-It’s a great chance for you to break in your new coach. He can see how his players respond in game situations.
-Remember what your bowl game did for you last year? You showed the nation your great offense and got a lot of buzz heading into spring ball. That was good attention for the program and you need that right now.
-You need a win. Losing three straight games on national television to finish the regular season is no way to end the year.
UCLA should accept because:
-You don’t want to risk being left out because your conference tie-ins could run out and you’ll be left there with no place to go.
-Rick Neuheisel is trying to build your program back up to an elite level and these extra weeks of practice can help unite the team and develop them further as players.
-You’re from a power conference and want to show how good you’re program is on the national level.
Here’s a tenative itinerary for Macho Rhino Bowl Week:
December 26 – We invite both teams to fly into Kansas City to start the festivities. We’ll host a reception and dinner for both teams before allowing teams to enjoy the nightlife of Kansas City on the Plaza or at the new Power & Light District.
December 27 - Teams will travel to Columbia and enjoy their welcoming dinner that evening.
December 28 - Macho Rhino Party – The highlight of bowl week as we let both teams cut loose at our o

This would be a game I’d watch.
This is a great match-up but good luck making it happen
